About Kirby Rehabilitation

Kirby Rehabilitation is a premier community based provider of behavioral health services.  The agency was founded in 1998 to serve at-risk families in Chicago. Over the past 20 years, the target service areas have expanded across the city of Chicago and surrounding suburbs including Hyde Park, South Shore, Austin, Pullman, Gresham, Roseland, Riverdale, Hazel Crest, Country Club Hills and Markham. Kirby Rehabilitation currently provides DUI Services, at 4 levels of care, Toxicology screenings, Violence Perpetrator Services, Domestic Violence Services, Anger Management and Parent Education Classes.  

Kirby Rehabilitations continues to engage clients and the community at large through a host of innovative services and activities including the quarterly community newsletter for single parents, monthly support group for single parents, monthly parent education workshops, weekly anger management workshops and Domestic Violence (perpetrator services) support groups. In addition, Kirby Rehabilitation has been intentional in its selection of partners to ensure that youth and young adults are provided with Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Education and Violence Prevention Education.  Most recently, Kirby Rehabilitation partnered with a Federally Qualified Health Center to sponsor 7 community workers to gain on the job training and education on Substance Abuse and Violence Prevention. Through our creative engagement and partnerships, we seek every opportunity to restore relationships within families and community

Kirby Rehabilitation is an organization that provides evaluations, psycho-educational individual and group sessions including drug screenings. The services are directed to individuals exposed to domestic violence and substance use aiming to preserve families. Our fee-based services are available to agencies that have court mandated clients or are recommended from social service agencies.

Kirby Rehabilitation has grown to become a major mental health and substance abuse service provider. We provide resources and assistance in collaboration with other local organizations to create safer communities through prevention, education and community support. We provide anger management group sessions, PAIP programming (Partner Abuse Intervention Program) to perpetrators of domestic violence, Substance use Outpatient Treatment program Levels I and II, and Drug Screenings. Our service fulfills a gap in intervention to preserve families. With these services individuals and families can begin to heal and move toward a safe and healthy environment and productive life. an adult or adolescent can rehabilitate themselves and return to a normal productive life.
